I run Alpha Dairy in Kandy — 15 years of purebred Saanen husbandry. We started at 1.5 litres per day. Our herd average is now 3.2 litres, and our Saanens milk 3 litres on their very first lactation. That didn't happen by accident — it happened through years of disciplined genetics and refusing to cut corners.

We don't just breed our animals with any available male. We wait — sometimes years — for the right buck with the right pedigree, the right conformation, the right milk genetics. Because we care about what we're building, not just what we can produce this season. Every generation on our farm is better than the last, and that's not luck.
